Pilchuck: Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Studio Glass
January 19 – March 22, 2012

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the development of studio glass in the United States, Litvak Gallery presents a show that celebrates one of the most influential schools of studio glassmaking – the Pilchuck Glass School. On display are works by Pilchuck founder, teacher and artist Dale Chihuly; Pilchuck student, teacher and collaborating artist William Morris; and Pilchuck teachers, collaborating artists, and former trustees Flora Mace and Joey Kirkpatrick. Historically significant works are presented, obtained from the artists and the Litvak Gallery private collection.    More...


Julius Weiland: Flux
January 19 – March 22, 2012

Julius Weiland's solo exhibition, Flux, proposes a new look at the medium of glass that expands the realm of possibilities. The selected pieces simultaneously create chaos and order, fluctuation and harmony, all while generating tension between what is and what might have been. Presenting a variety of borosilicate forms, including silvered works and an installation incorporating neon, Weiland considers a broad, rich visual space that interrelates with Litvak Gallery's architectural uniqueness.    More...
